- The Sims 4 daily login rewards met with mixed response
New items are free as part of a timed event.
The Sims 4 has introduced daily login rewards, with players divided over the latest feature.
Eight items will be made available for free over the course of the next few weeks – but the catch is, this is a limited-time event and Simmers must log in on eight different days in total to claim all of the rewards.
Among the items are a new hairstyle and a new trait called 'Practice Makes Perfect', which helps Sims "learn skills faster, even if they are a bit slower at first".
Here is the full list of login rewards for the 'Happy at Home' event:
Week 1
• Bullseye Dartboard
• Night Sky Layered Necklace
• Guerdon Goods Mini Fridge and NanoCan 2.0
Week 2
• Compact Bar
• Serenity Hairstyle
Week 3
• Casual Comfort Pillow
• Practice Makes Perfect (trait)
Week 4
• Guerdon Goods Vending Machine and Athleisure Wear

"The team will be developing Events with objects and gameplay connected to The Sims’ Season," the team said in a blog post, suggesting players can expect further events and "even more rewards to claim" in the future.
"Events can also be timed to a variety of different occasions in a calendar year or a general theme that we look forward to sharing with you in the future."
While some Simmers on social media were happy with the free items, others criticised the event for being limited-time and the nature of daily rewards.
Content creators have been reacting to the login rewards event as well.

Lilsimsie said that while the event was less frustrating than early-purchase content for expansions as these rewards are free, she still had "mixed feelings", saying it had "battle pass energy" and speculating that it might be "a test for Project Rene".
"I love the idea of a new trait. That's really interesting to me. But... the thought of it being gone forever if you didn't log in during week three is really frustrating," she added.
"I'm not inherently mad at free stuff. I think it's the model itself and the psychology behind it that makes me really uneasy," said SimmerErin.
TheSimYin said free content is not bad in itself, but felt the event was a "tactic" and a way to try and bring back those who may have stopped playing due to the game's glitches and lag.
This week has also seen the release of two new Kits: Riviera Retreat and Cozy Bistro.
The game's next major expansion is planned for this summer, with the latest roadmap teasing a "season of love" theme.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
