Okay, so I read this book immediately after my https://theeuphoriczat.com/book-love/... which I posted on my blog. But this book just didn't give me what I was expecting from a mafia book. So admittedly, I do agree that there is a badass main character who is a mafia stereotype, he is broody, he is sexy, he can kill very easily, and to top it off, he has a huge dick. However, he is so lacking as a character, I mean if you are going to be a boss, be a boss but he just wasn't giving me boss vibes. There is also the female main character, who I actually liked a bit, she was own that took her situation in stride and made do with her situation.
It felt like her pregnant belly wasn't even growing which made the story very stagnant. Aside from that characters were just killed off left and right. There were some characters that we really did not need to know about. Gosh! It hurts me that I didn't enjoy this book because I know how much it could have been better. I did not finish this book, however there were just 2 chapters left before I couldn't do it anymore, which says a lot. I may not like it but you might if mafia stories are your thing.

It wasn’t the worst I have ever read, but was not good. There was no connection with either of the characters. The h, we have no idea about her family and barely know what she looks like. The H is so hot and cold all the time. He is pretty much a jerk to her every time he gets stressed and she just dismisses it. They act like he forced her to live with him, but really it took her all but a couple seconds and a threat for her to agree to move in with him. The H was also kinda weak. He didn’t have proper resources to find and locate the people he was looking for. They try to say he has lots of power but really he doesn’t.

There was a ton of editing errors. The boss of the club was first named Ceaser, then his name was Ed. The child’s name was first Isaac, then named Javier. This was extremely distracting. There was also timing issues. The weeks kept going by but she never got more pregnant. And they kept saying “always” when the instant only happened one time.

There was a couple dead ends throughout as well. The story does have a lot of potential though. I hope the author decides to rewrite and builds on the characters, work on the connection between the two, closes loose ends, and does proper editing.

Writing is good, though doesn’t flow as well in some places, thus loosing the focus.

Dirty, Dark, Delicious and Decadent

Sergei is the first book in the Dirty Dons Club by Naomi West. Well all I can say is that if the rest of the books in this series are like this one then sign me up right now because I am all in for this deliciously sexy series.
This is the story of Naomi and Sergei. Naomi has her life on track but it is about to blow up with the opening of a door........when she walks through and finds her fiance Jeremy the the neighbor at it and not in a good way. So a devastated Naomi leaves their home and checks into a hotel for the night. The next night she goes to work as a "bottle girl" in the VIP rooms at the Embers club in NYC. There she is serving several men including Sergei. Let's just say that this big bad boy is the walking embodiment of "sex on a stick". He is attracted to her when he first sees her and when he sends the other men out of the room they end up bumping some body parts that night.
Sergei is actually not what Naomi appears, He is the head of the Benedikt Bratva in New York and not just running a construction company. When they parted ways he tried to give her his business card just in case she needed to contact him, as they did not use any protection (you know as you tend to do with a one night stand that you don't know?), but she does not taken it.
It is five months later and Sergei finds out Naomi is pregnant. The good thing is that she was never really off his mind since that night they spent together. So the protective and possessive Russian Alpha makes the decision that she is to come live with him and he will look after her and their unborn child. Naomi reluctantly agrees and so they start on an interesting and slightly twisted romance. While all of this is happening there is a war going on between the Bratva and the San Diablos cartel.

I really enjoyed this book and the story of Naomi and Sergei. He is definitely a flawed character who is dark but yet he also is immediately protective of Naomi and their child when he finds out. He is complicated and multi-faceted which made him much more interesting. Naomi was a young woman who thought she had her life on track until it all blows up. Then it blows up even more after her night with Sergei. But she was going to make it on her own and did not hunt him down. She was strong and resilient and will have to be when she finds out that Sergei is actually the head of the Bratva and his enemies get closer.

A Fantastic read!!!!
Naomi was an innocent club girl, who got so many offers every night but she wasn't interested as she was engaged and happy. That is until one night she walks in to find him in their bed with their next door neighbour!! Naomi cant get out of there fast enough. She packs a bag and gets her designs and heads off to find a room for the night. Over the next few days she cries and then builds herself up again and is ready to get on with her life, she had a lucky escape. One night at work she is asked to look after a private room nothing new there but when she goes up the there is one man who catches her eye. So she makes sure to keep the room happy going back to check on them all the time. Then he gets the room to clear leaving just him and her and invites her to have a drink with him. It isn't long before they are kissing and having sex.
Sergei Benedikt. The man, the myth, the monster. The Bratva boss who isn't scared of getting his hands dirty and bloody, is in a club he has never been to before just because he is trying to find the man who is starting a war. And that's where he sees a very pretty bottle girl. A little stress relief will change his world tho. He tries to give her his business card just encase anything comes of their time together but Naomi wont take it. As he leaves to start hunting for the cartels man his mind keeps going back to the girl. After he finds his man and finishes his life he heads off to speak to his father. Who makes him realise now when the war is coming he must have no distractions. So no more Naomi!
5 months later Sergei cant stay away any longer and what he finds changes his life forever.
This is a great read. I dont think there was many surprises in the plot for me but what was fantastic was the connection and the banter that are between Sergei and Naomi. The chemistry is off the charts. I couldnt put this book down staying up half the night to finish it so now I'm very tired getting ready for a day at work but I wouldn't of changed anything. I really enjoyed this book. Sergei isn't what you think he will be

Sergei is a complicated Bratva leader who is in the process of leaving his illegal activities behind. Most of his income is derived from his honest businesses, but he will not allow the street of New York to become a battleground for an underworld war. How this story ends will surprise you, but you will have to read the book to learn how this story ends.

Naomi recently left her fiancé and once night she meets Sergei while working. Sparks fly and they spend a steamy night together. Sergei can’t stop thinking about her and months later goes back to the club to see her, she is pregnant and in danger. Will the mafia man protect her and his child? Fast-paced, action packed mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. I loved the intense chemistry and the story really draws you in. A good read.

Just didn’t feel it. There seems like there is no chemistry between the two. I didn’t even feel anxious about all the action stuff. I think you could almost skip half of the story.

I rated this book as a 4.5 because of the editing issues. The kindle version I read had several editing blips throughout the book. The story itself was a great read that had a very entertaining story line with strong characters in Naomi and Sergei. Naomi is the good girl who works as a bottle girl at a high-end club. She catches her fiance with another woman in their bed and walks out of the life she had planned with Jeremy. She hooks up with Sergei and has a one night stand. He is a one and done kind of guy but can't get Naomi off his mind. Four months later they run into each other with him finding out that she is pregnant with his child. Both characters have their baggage and back stories that evolve as the story unfolds allowing the reader to understand each character at a deeper level.

Sergei has her move in so he can take care of her and their baby. No promises of love or a relationship, but he does everything he can to keep her safe and content even though she feels like a prisoner. Naomi has no idea he is the head of a well know Mafia family, or the threats that being associated with Sergei involve, until later in the book. Threats, kidnapping, death and mayhem ensues as Sergei and Naomi's relationship becomes something more than just a man tasked with protecting what is his and a woman striking a deal with a man who is the father of her child

It's a very entertaining book with a feisty heroine and a stubborn alpha who finds love and an HEA which includes a second child gotten through an unlikely circ*mstance. Enjoy.

Sergei: Book 1 of the Dirty Dons Club by Naomi West is a great start to an exciting new series. This was a fast paced story with many twists and turns, murder and passion. Sergei Benedikt is the head of the Bratva who is involved in a turf war with the Mexican Cartel and the Seis Diabolos which has become deadly and violent to all within his inner circle. Naomi is a beautiful bottle girl working at Embers trying to get over a breakup, when she encounters Sergei at the club. At first glance these two give into a whirlwind passionate night together. Now these two have not seen each other for five months, until Sergei needing to be with her after a devastating loss, happens to see Naomi being attacked. When he rescues her, he is in for one hell of a surprise, she is pregnant and informs her that she will be living with him as he will provide for her and his child. Now these two will begin a hate love relationship filled with doubt, lies, kidnapping, revenge and murder. Through all of the danger and chaos, Sergei and Naomi form a bond and an undying love that will last forever as they begin a new chapter together. This is only the second book I’ve read by Naomi West and I lived it. I could not put it down; it hooked me from the start and didn’t let go. Naomi works in a high class bar where she meets Sergei. They have a fling and don’t see each other for five months. On the night they reunite, Naomi realizes she’s pregnant and do does Sergei. He insists she move in with him. They relationship is full of ups and downs, but they gave passion. She challenges him and he frustrates her. Sergei life in the Bratava pushes into their lives and keeps the suspense going until the end. I would have given this 5 stars but there were some inconsistencies. Sergei has a nephew, his brothers child, but we never hear about a brother or hear about the nephew again. Then one of Naomi’s friends is supposed to have bruises from a relationship, but again it’s never mentioned again. When it was mentioned, I figured it got in with the storyline. Despite these things, it was a great read.

I actually DNF’d this one at about a quarter of the way through and I’m glad I did because I really did not like any of the characters and I didn’t feel any chemistry at all between them. I know I should have just continued reading but I just wasn’t feeling this one

I love a book that’s long cuz I love to read but I will say what I can’t stand is a long book that’s drawn out meaning this book had major repetitive parts and honestly I felt like this book was more about the Bratva then it was about Naomi and Sergei. We barely see them having conversations, they barely get to know each other and I can say that I definitely called Naomi a dumbass more than once in this book like she just wants using her brain. But it’s a fantasy world and there’s some dummies in real life haha.. overall the book wasn’t bad and I did read it in one sitting, but that doesn’t really mean anything since it’s my third book of the day. (This is usual for me and i was in a reading funk for a while but even when I was rereading some of my favs I usually will bang out two or three in a day)

've read a lot of Naomi's stories, THIS WAS THE BEST ONE BY FAR! Naomi moved to New York for the Fashion scene, but not knowing how expensive it was to live there, she had to take a job, working in an upscale club. She was a bottle girl, for rip VIP groups. She was able to stay away from temptation, because she was engaged! Then one night she came home and found the rat with a neighbor lady. Sergei the head of the Bratva was in the club with some of his men, and she was their bottle girl. Sergei didn't pay much attention to girls around him, but something about Naomi was different! Naomi took her co workers advice and took a chance. When Sergei found himself saving Naomi, he also found out something else! There was a lot of murder, mayhem and danger between the Bratva and The Cartel. But these two grew closer as time goes by.

This started out slow. The book description stated after their one night affair, Sergei forgot about Naomi until he found out she was pregnant. Not true. After that night he fantasized about her for a while. Once he found out about the pregnancy he wanted to take care of her and the baby. Living with him Naomi treated him disrespectful for no reason. Even after a man tried to rape her and another man handle her, she had a bad attitude towards him. Once he saw she really had talent to be a fashion designer, he helped to make her dream come true. When he went to rescue her again (3rd time), she knew he would find her again. Sergei realized he would never get Naomi to "obey" him, it finally dawn on him, she's what he needed, a strong woman who could accept his way of life, be a good wife and mother. He never been happier.

“I think, under other circ*mstances, I still would have fallen for her. The baby didn’t have to show up and bind us together without much of a choice. That merely sealed the deal.”

THOUGHTS:
One of the best mafia romance I have read so far. The progression of their relationship felt natural to me and the idea that she likes fashion and fabric worked well on their flirting game. The way the author writes is so witty especially the inner dialogue of the MCs. Noemi is strong willed and she matched Sergei’s possessiveness. Sergei on the other hand is such an alpha (he does the dirty work himself) and the book is the right balance of their romantic relationship and how the mafia world works.

A gripping Mafia romance that follows Sergei and Naomi's story. Naomis a club girl who every guy seems to want but shes already engaged and happy till she walks in on her fiance cheating on her. Sergeis at the club on a mission to find the guy bring war to his families door but its Naomi who catches his eye and what harm can come from one night. Only Sergei cant get Naomi out of his head and when he meets her again 5 months later hes in for a surprise. Now he has to protect her with his life as his enemies draw in closer. Well written with a good story line and intriguing characters, with action, desire and mafia badboys!

This was such a good book every chapter gets better and better. Sergei Benedict leader of the Russian Mafia meets a woman by chance who changes his life forever. He's cold and calculating and the most ruthless of his kind but one has to be in his line of work. Naomi, a bottle service girl working a hot New York City nightclub making good tips and seems to be living the life with her fiance Jeremy until their relationship takes a bad turn and they call it quits. Enter Sergei the hot one night stand who gives her life a new purpose, but of course being with a man in the Mafia has it's challenges which she has to learn the hard way.

Sergei doesn't pay too much attention to the girls but he always noticed that Naomi was different. Naomi meets Sergi who's powerful and charming. She doesn't know that he's part of the Bratva. He thinks about his mysterious lover and when he sees that she's pregnant he knows that it's his child. Sergi now needs to protect Naomi and his child before his enemies destroys what he's found with Naomi. There's plenty of adventure, drama, action, and steam. Great story. They meet one another at the club and sparks fly!!!! There’s TONS of intense Bratva tension and drama that will keep you riveted.

There’s plenty of romance, surprises, tension, and sizzle in this incredible first of the new series!!!! Can’t wait for the rest!!!!

Another hit! Literally! Naomi, working hard as a bottle girl just to make ends meat and future plans to get married, just to find out he’s a Cheater! But a chance meeting, a mafia boss member (construction boss) the next day at work, on the job, a high intensity of passion, gives her more then she bargained for down the coming months ahead. High intense drama, action packed. Will she stay with Sergei or will she go back to Jeremy who want her back? Will she be safe in the company of Sergei? You know you have to read this!

This story is probably one of the best stories by Naomi. I have read them all. Sergei is Dark yet brings the light. Naomi and Sergei are heat mixed with clouds. She is his light to his darkness. The relationship between these two was a bit forced but yet it felt as if it was being rushed. Yes it is long and at some point I thought, ok I already knew that but thanks for spelling it out again. It to me did not have much character building after a certain point in the book. Now I did enjoy this story and will definitely be adding to my reread shelf. I will be keeping my eyes open for more from Miss West.

Naomi and Sergei's story is definitely a different and refreshing story from Naomi West. Naomi is an innocent and Sergei is obviously "dark" when they meet in a club that Naomi is working at to make money. She doesn't expect to participate in a customer rendezvous, but life happens. A few months later, Naomi gets a surprise from that rendezvous. Then life really gets interesting when Sergei finds out. However, there are dark elements moving against them---specifically Sergei. Fast paced story that was a lot of fun to read!!!

This book was an outstanding mafia romance. This is the first book I've read by author Naomi West but I will be reading more of her books in the future. This book was a tough one to put down. This book told the story of Sergi Benedikt and Naomi Allens. Sergi is a mob boss and Naomi is a bottle girl at a club, Embers. The first night the meet at the club they have drunkin sex. Then five months later the saga continues. Kudos to Naomi West on a fantastic mafia read! This book is a must read and I highly recommend!

A compelling, dark, fast pace on the edge of your seat read! The story line is riveting, well thought out and detailed, well written, and consistent. There is action, drama, suspense, secrets, surprises, twists and turns, nail-biting violence, kidnapping, danger, other heart-racing adventures and more to look forward to in this story. The characters are likeable and strong; their chemistry is intense, raw, and undeniable! A recommended read!

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Sergei met Naomi when she was a drink waitress after she broke her engagement off for his cheating so she gave into Sergei one night then the next time he sees her was when she was five month pregnant. What will happen to them with this war going on?

This book has a bit of everything! It is a dark Mafia based story, with a surprise pregnancy, arranged living situation, hate-to-love mixed with drama, twists, secrets, lust, love and a lot more.
I enjoy a story with a romance, plenty of action and suspense with dark elements, a strong Alpha Male and a fierce woman! This story has it all. I absolutely love it!
