Nowell | Omaha Nebraska Portrait Photographer

Last Sunday I met Emily, Boyd, Nora, and Nowell for an afternoon in the park. Emily told me Boyd randomly found me while looking for digital camera equipment. He really liked the fact that I was taking a risk and following my passion. It meant a lot to hear that from someone. The reason they contacted me was to take Nowell’s 1 year pictures.

Nowell has a cute personality. He loves his parents and sister. His face would light up whenever he saw them. During the session I learned Nowell doesn’t like the way grass feels, but by the end of the session he was crawling all over the place. I think we got him over his fear.  Nora is a wonderful big sister. She is very independent, but always finds time to love on Nowell.

Thank you so much for letting me spend the afternoon with you.

Elizabeth & Mike | Omaha Nebraska Wedding Photographer

Elizabeth and Mike radiate happiness. My afternoon with them was filled with laughter. Mike was hilarious and always causing trouble. Elizabeth told me it is her favorite thing about him. This session was a little different because we had a mini family session in the middle of the engagement session. They have a beautiful son named Brady. I love sessions like this because it showed them as a couple and amazing parents.

Thank you so much for a fun afternoon. You wedding in September is going to be amazing.

Mike got a little hungry during the session.

Jace | Omaha Nebraska Wedding Photographer

When Amber contacted me about her wedding I knew we were a perfect fit. Amber and David are wonderful parents to their son Jace. They were always smiling and happy to be together. It made my job incredibly easy.

Instead of doing an engagement session, Amber wanted to have a session for Jace for his first birthday (which was May 16th, Happy Birthday Jace!) These photos truly melt my heart. Jace is adorable. I love photographing kids because they are so natural in front of the camera. Kids are who they are.

Jace is an adventurer. He was climbing up and down stairs, looking for rocks, and looking for new places to explore.

Amber, David, and Jace thank you so much for letting me spend the afternoon with you. You all are wonderful. I can’t wait for your wedding in June (only 34 days, not that I’m counting!).

Isn’t Amber Beautiful?

20090509_1151bwRocks were heavily used in this session. This is one of my favorites. You can see him exploring the world around him.

Who knew rocks were so exciting?

Lisa and Logan | Omaha Nebraska Wedding Photographer

My husband and I packed up our equipment and headed to Montana for the weekend. If you’ve never been there I recommend going just to bask in the beauty of the mountains. I was a dork and pulled my camera on the plane to capture the view of the mountains from the sky.

Bozeman is a city with character. It feels like you have stepped back in time with it’s quaint streets, local coffee shops, and mountains. It was difficult for me to put my camera down for the two days we were there. Now let me tell you about Lisa and Logan.

Lisa and Logan have a quite love. It is very subtle and beautiful. When Lisa looks at Logan her entire face lights up, you can see her heart skip a beat. She is content to just be with him. You might miss it at first glance, but once you catch site of it it is very powerful. Not to get all cheesy, but they remind me of a cute 1920s couple.

The location we shot at was amazing. We started out on a hill that overlooked the city. Then it was off to a deserted train station, which had colorful walls and cozy corners. The only problem is it was still cold in Bozeman. We were all out there freezing together. Lisa and Logan were kind enough to run all over the place and let me go picture crazy. When their hands started to turn purple I knew it was time to head home.

Thank you so much for letting us spend the weekend with you. I can’t wait for your wedding July. It is going to be a lot of fun.
